Anush Babajanyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1983, and presently lives in Armenia. She has been photographing since 2006. In 2008 she began a photo essay on Armenian women with special qualities. This story is a continuing project. In the same year Anush photographed in the town of Kars, Turkey, together with a team of photographers, as part of a project about the closed border between Armenia and Turkey. Anush has completed a photo essay picturing residents of the town of Gyumri, Armenia, who still suffer the consequences of the 1988 devastating earthquake. In 2009- 2010 Anush continued this project working with the Third Nature NGO with the support of the Open Society Institute. (http://anushbabajanyan.com/works/)

As a freelance photojournalist, Anush photographed for the to Transitions Online magazine (Czech Republic), Patker Photo Agency (Armenia), Nezavisimaya Gazeta (Russia), Flight Magazine (Armenia), Lragir.am (Armenia), etc. She presently photographs for the Nouvelles d’Armenie magazine.
